About Meridian Operational Analytics

Firm Overview

Meridian Operational Analytics is an advisory firm that does one thing: it makes inventory data reliable enough to make decisions about capital. It works only in inventory – not general analytics, not broad operations consulting – because inventory performance is a deep enough problem to deserve a specialist. For most organizations the firm works with, inventory is among the largest figures on the balance sheet, and the reporting around it has quietly stopped being fully trustworthy.

Who You Work With

Meridian Operational Analytics was founded by Mark Pulver, whose background spans both sides of the inventory problem: hands-on operational work and the data systems beneath it.

Over the past few years, Mark worked in logistics operations and inventory data analysis, close to the daily reality of how inventory moves, ages, and is measured. Before that came a BS in Computer Science and nearly two decades as a software engineer, with his strongest work in data warehousing – building data systems that are consistent, validated, and trusted as a source of record. Inventory advice drawn only from operations often lacks rigor in how data is structured; advice drawn only from software often misses what the numbers mean on a warehouse floor. Meridian Operational Analytics is built on both.

It also means clients work directly with the person doing the analysis. There is no account layer and no rotating bench of junior staff – the same person leads the engagement and does the work, from the first conversation to the final report.

How the Firm Works

The firm keeps its scope deliberately narrow. It does not implement dashboards, integrate ERP systems, or take on general reporting work – that restraint is a method, not a limitation. A narrow focus is what makes deep, reliable work possible. Every engagement is approached the same way: define what is being measured, confirm it is calculated correctly, and state plainly what the numbers mean for capital and risk. The client receives a clear position they can act on, grounded in logic they can check.
